Biography

I am a bioengineer with a PhD in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, specialising in microfluidic-assisted biofabrication.

During my doctoral research, I developed microfluidic-assisted 3D bioprinting technologies for the fabrication of 3D biomimetic tissue models, with a focus on advanced manufacturing strategies for tissue engineering applications.

Building on this expertise, my subsequent research focused on the design and additive manufacturing of porous and functionally graded materials. By combining microfluidics, 3D printing, and computational modelling, I investigated approaches to precisely control material architecture and mechanical performance, particularly for applications requiring tailored energy absorption.

I am currently an MSCA Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences. My research focuses on microfluidic-based 3D printing of architected porous materials and data-driven materials design, integrating machine learning, advanced manufacturing, and mechanical characterisation to develop materials with tailored structural and mechanical properties.
